In this article, the translatability of metaphor is examined. In translation studies so far - and especially in the case of translatability and untranslatability of metaphor - the translation of metaphor has been examined from various aspects. Metaphor exists in all languages ​​and is considered a part of linguistic universals; for this reason, the importance of studying metaphor becomes clear. However, so far, limited studies have been conducted in this field from a cognitive perspective. Linguistic knowledge in cognitive semantics is not independent of thinking and cognition, and the main goal of this article is to achieve an appropriate solution for the translation of metaphor. According to the results of this article, metaphor cannot be examined solely in terms of language, but its translation is simultaneously dependent on the language of experience and cognition.
